I’ve spent 18 years at the intersection of product, data and experimentation. This is what that looks like in practice.

300+ experiments. $75 million in incremental revenue. Storm Jarvie’s career built on connecting the pieces that specialist hires miss.

Why work with Storm Jarvie

You work directly with me from start to finish. No account managers, no juniors, no handoffs halfway through. What you get is someone who has done this work at a serious level — built experimentation functions from scratch, fixed broken analytics setups, led product discovery for complex digital businesses and delivered WordPress builds that are actually fit for purpose.

Most digital practitioners go deep in one area. I work across product, data, analytics, experimentation and web development because that’s how I’ve always operated. The businesses I’ve worked with needed someone who could see the full picture, not just solve their corner of it. That’s the kind of work I’m built for.

I’m based in Sydney. I work with businesses and practitioners across Australia. And I’m a sole trader by choice, which means every client gets my full attention, not a slice of a team that’s spread across ten accounts.

Experience

The track record

  • Bupa — Senior Optimisation Manager

Four years leading a cross-functional experimentation squad of 18 people. 250+ experiments. $72 million in incremental revenue. Exceeded company targets by 120% every year. Winner of the Experimentation Culture Awards 2023 Rising Star. Built the process playbook, the team capability and the culture that made it work.

  • Big Red Group (RedBalloon)

Introduced data-informed product thinking to a business that had been running on instinct. Prevented $4 million in revenue loss by running an experiment to validate a leadership decision before it shipped. Reduced checkout abandonment by 10% and increased customer NPS by 50%.

  • Deep Blue Company

Built an in-house experimentation function from scratch using existing resources. Delivered $300,000 in gross profit within four months. Saved the business $20,000 per month by removing agency dependency.

  • MullenLowe Profero and Apparent

Product leadership and digital delivery across agencies — 18 websites, 6 apps and an in-store geo-location system for a major retail client. Senior management experience across large-scale digital communications programmes.

About

Meet Storm Jarvie

I genuinely believe the best decisions start with admitting what you don’t know yet. Not as a methodology. Just as a way of working. It keeps the work honest and it tends to produce better outcomes than starting with the answer and working backwards. That’s the thread running through everything I do.

Who this is for

I take on a small number of engagements at a time. That’s intentional. It means the businesses and practitioners I work with get my full attention rather than a fortnightly check-in and a junior doing the actual work.

Every engagement starts with understanding the problem properly before anything gets built or analysed. I scope conservatively, flag issues early and deliver work that’s handed over cleanly — documented, explained and ready to use without me in the room.

If I’m not the right fit for what you need, I’ll tell you. If I am, I’ll tell you that too and we’ll agree a scope within a few days.

“Her ability to predict outcomes and take early decisions in order to meet deadlines… made Storm a landmark for everyone on the project”

– Marco Cali, Technical Lead, Pixolut

About Storm Jarvie

Storm Jarvie is a fractional product generalist based in Sydney, Australia. With over 18 years of experience across product, analytics, data and web development, Storm works with businesses, fractional executives and agencies to deliver the digital capability they need without the overhead of building a full team. Storm’s specialty is experimentation, having designed and led programmes that have run 250+ experiments and delivered $70 million in incremental revenue.

A specialist contractor solves one piece of the problem. I work across the full digital stack — product, data, analytics, experimentation and web development — which means I can see how the pieces connect and identify problems that fall between specialist remits. I’m also hands-on. I do the work, not just the strategy.

I’ve worked with Bupa, RedBalloon, Deep Blue Company, Dymocks and Wisr, among others, across analytics implementation, experimentation, data analysis and product management.

I’ve led experimentation functions, built analytics practices, run product discovery programmes and delivered WordPress builds for clients across retail, financial services, insurance, health and travel. My career spans agencies and in-house roles across Australia.

I’m a sole trader operating under the brand stormjarvie.com.au. You work directly with me from start to finish. No account managers, no juniors, no handoffs.

It depends on what you need. I’m a good fit if you need senior digital capability across data, analytics, experimentation, product or web development without building a team or paying agency rates. I’m also a good fit if you’re a fractional CMO, CGO or CDO who needs a capable peer for client work, or an agency that needs specialist delivery resource. I’m not the right fit if you need performance marketing, paid media management, Shopify development or enterprise-scale data engineering. If you’re not sure, book a call and I’ll tell you straight.

The businesses that get the most out of working with me are the ones that have a clear problem but not the internal resource to solve it properly. That tends to be small and medium businesses that need serious digital capability but can’t justify a full-time hire, fractional executives who need a technical and data peer for their client engagements, and agencies at capacity who need specialist delivery resource. It also includes businesses that have data but aren’t getting useful answers from it, and businesses running experiments but not learning from them.
